Content Creating Tools
Canva
I love using Canva to design my content, whether it's creating branded images for social media, invitations, or document design. I use this software daily, both professionally and personally, so I have extensive experience with it.

However, don't rely on it because Canva's accessibility features are quite restricted. The platform is not very compatible with screen readers, making it a challenge for users who rely on them.

I am constantly exploring new updates. Canva has made some headway in enhancing its accessibility features, there's still plenty of room for improvement. I hope it can be the go to place for all inclusive content in the future!

Mircosoft
Ever since my school days, I have been using the Microsoft package. While it may not offer the same level of creative freedom as Canva, it provides robust accessibility features that promote inclusivity in documents. As a disabled individual and in my current role, accessibility is crucial, so I utilize Microsoft when necessary to create documents. I am well-versed in all Microsoft applications and can use them efficiently.
Hemingway Editor
As a social manager for Essex County Council's Essex Local Offer, I am responsible for generating content that is easy to read for to adults, young people and children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). To achieve this, I use the Hemingway editor on a daily basis to make the text simple to read. The goal is to engage the audience while ensuring inclusivity – even those without additional needs prefer posts that are short and sweet!

Content Accessibility
In Novemeber 2023 I recieved a certification from Scope for completing their Content Acessibility course. The course provided an overview of the social model of disability and how to guarantee that content is accessible.
